Woman arrested in connection with suspicious death in Manchester, NH

MANCHESTER, NH — A woman has been arrested in connection with a suspicious death in Manchester, NH.

According to Attorney General JohnFormella, 24-year-old Alicia Castagnino has been arrested after allegedly shooting a person.

Officials say they responded to a home on Silver Street around 10 pm Tuesday night to a reported suspicious death of an adult male.

On Wednesday afternoon, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office identified the man as 27-year-old Brennan Pelio.

An autopsy confirmed Pelio deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

Castagnino is facing charges of one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death of Pelio by shooting him in the head with a firearm, and alternatively, one count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Mr. Pelio under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by shooting him in the head with a firearm.

Castagnino is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
