WEYMOUTH, Mass. — A unique day on the job for firefighters in Weymouth.
It happened on July 4th when the call came in for a dog trapped under a shed.
When crews got on the scene, they had to break out some shovels to make enough room to even see the pup’s nose, as you can see in the photo below.
But the crews from Weymouth Engine 3 and Ladder 1 kept working.
They finally convinced the pup, named Lena, to come out far enough to get rescued by offering her some bacon. That sealed the deal, and the pup was pulled from her predicament.
Weymouth Firefighters Local 1616 tells Boston 25 that Lena was chasing a small animal when she got wedged under the shed.
