‘We’re monitoring the situation’: Gov. Healey provides statement regarding recent drone sightings

M.A. — Governor Healey has provided an update over the recent phenomenon regarding drones appearing in the sky across the state.

In a statement released on X, Governor Healey acknowledged the strange occurrence going on throughout Massachusetts and that her and other State officials are monitoring the situation closely.

Healey also stated that drone operator, “should adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and appropriate operating procedures, ensuring the safe and responsible use of drones.’

Since Friday’s story on the statewide drone sightings, Boston 25 has received numerous calls, messages, with pictures and videos of sightings and occurrences all across the state.

Alongside New Jersey, Massachusetts is the second State to report sightings of these lights.
