Watch: Overheight truck snarls traffic in Boston’s Sumner Tunnel

BOSTON — An overheight truck accidentally entered Boston’s Sumner Tunnel early Tuesday morning, snarling traffic.

Video shared by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation shows the truck parked in the busy tunnel as cars struggled to maneuver around it.

MassDOT says the warning system for an over height vehicle triggered before the truck entered the tunnel.

The Boston Police Department alerted commuters shortly after 6:00 a.m. that the Sumner Tunnel was closed and advised drivers to find alternative routes.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
