BOSTON — The largest ever ship to enter to enter Boston’s Conley Container Terminal arrived from Asia on Thursday morning.
The ship, packed with 13,500 containers, made its way to the city after making stops in Vietnam and China, a spokesperson for Massport said in a statement.
The Port of Boston supports $8.2 billion in economic impact annually with 66,000 jobs.
Massport has invested $850 million in waterside and landside infrastructure to keep Conley Terminal competitive and cost-effective.
Massport recently added three new ship-to-shore cranes with lift height of 160 feet above the rail and an outreach of 22 containers wide.
