FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — On Saturday, December 14, Framingham Fire Department responded to building fire that quickly upgraded to a two-alarm response bringing in all Framingham fire crews to respond.
Crews were dispatched at approximately 3:30 a.m. to 72 Nicholas Road to fire and smoke on at the 6-story apartment complex.
Because of the size of the building and time of day, the fire was bumped up to a two-alarm response that ordered all on-duty Framingham firefighters to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews were able to rescue a person from the apartment building and knock out fires along the way. Crews were able to isolate the fire from its apartment of origin.
Additional rescues from other apartments were made because of the amount of smoke in the apartment. Crews worked on the scene for 7 additional house to clear out remaining smoke.
One person was injured and nobody was displaced.
