‘Tragic’: State fire marshal answers questions after Mass. family found dead in NH vacation home

WAKEFIELD, N.H. — New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean Toomey held a virtual news conference on Friday and took questions about four Massachusetts family members who were found dead in their vacation home in Wakefield, New Hampshire, on Christmas Day.

Toomey identified the victims as a couple and their two daughters, calling the incident “accidental and very tragic.”

Investigators believe a carbon monoxide leak caused their deaths.
