Town-by-town totals: These Massachusetts communities have received the most snow

BOSTON — A winter storm dumped several inches of snow in many areas across Massachusetts overnight Monday through Tuesday afternoon.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for a large chunk of the state through 7 p.m.

Dozens upon dozens of schools called off classes due to the snow.

This wintry event marks the first of three storms in the forecast this week.
