BOSTON — The multiple tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings that were issued in Massachusetts on Friday morning have expired, but flash flood warnings remain in effect in many areas.
The tornado warning for Norfolk and Plymouth counties had been extended until 10:45 a.m., but it expired around 10:10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

There were a pair of other tornado warnings in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, including Bristol County, that expired during the 9 a.m. hour.
The NWS confirmed that it was sending out teams to survey storm damage in Scituate, Rhode Island, as well as Manfield, Massachusetts.
The final of the numerous thunderstorm warnings that were issued expired by 11 a.m.
A flash flood warning that was issued for Middlesex, Bristol, Norfolk, and Plymouth counties has also since expired, but there is a flood warning that remains in effect for Essex County through late Friday night.
The flood warning is for the Shawsheen River at Andover, affecting Essex County, and for the Shawsheen River, including Wilmington and Andover, according to the NWS.
“Floodwaters could inundate the very lowest lying business parking lots off Route 114 in Lawrence and North Andover that are adjacent to the Shawsheen River,” the NWS said in a statement. “Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
