Mass. — Looking for something to do this weekend? Boston 25 has a few ideas for you.
Amesbury Strawberry Festival
It’s mid-June, and that means the strawberries are ripe for the picking! Head over to Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury for this weekend’s strawberry festival! The festival happens from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and will feature free live music, homemade strawberry treats, fun activities, food trucks and an outdoor hard cider bar. And, oh yeah...Pick your own strawberries! Entrance to the festival is free but you do need to pay to pick.
Hyde Park Juneteenth
Juneteenth is this upcoming Monday, but this Saturday, you can come together with the community for the Juneteenth joy celebration in Hyde Park. The celebration happens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Francis D. Martini Memorial Shell Park and Moynihan recreation area on Truman Parkway and will feature fun workouts for the whole family, performances, kids’ activities, and a ceremony. The event is free to attend, but you are asked to register in advance.
Boston Portuguese Festival
If you’re looking to celebrate Portuguese culture, entertainment, and food, you have to head over to Boston City Hall Plaza for the Boston Portuguese festival. The festival is back for its 17th year after a three-year hiatus, and it’s happening Sunday from Noon to 8 p.m. You may just see a familiar face. Our own Julianne Lima is part of the festivities.
