BOSTON — Sipping on an ice cold milkshake is a great way to beat the summer heat, but when it comes to flavor selection, Bay Staters certainly have a very unique taste.
RTA Outdoor Living says it recently investigated Google Trends data over the past 12 months for the most popular milkshake flavors in order to determine the top flavor in every state.
Massachusetts, Vermont, and Rhode Island are the only states that enjoy a coffee milkshake, according to the study. People in Maine enjoy chocolate shakes, while Granite Staters love vanilla shakes.
Oddly enough, New York and Texas favor pineapple shakes.
The strawberry milkshake was the most popular milkshake across the country. Other popular flavors were chocolate, Oreo, Shamrock Shake, and vanilla.
