These are the most popular baby names in Massachusetts for 2023

BOSTON — Choosing a baby name is one of the first and most difficult decisions new parents have to make because the choice lasts a lifetime.

Names.org this week released its list of the “Most Popular Baby Names in Massachusetts in 2023″ based on Social Security Administration data on births and user interest on its website.

For boys, Noah ranked atop the list, followed by Liam and Henry. For girls, Olivia, Charlotte, and Emma topped the list.

Nine of Massachusetts’ top 10 boy’s names are also on the national top 10 list, as well as eight of the state’s top 10 girl’s names.

The one boy’s name unique to Massachusetts is Jack. The two girl names unique to Massachusetts are Chloe and Ella.
