Teen struck, killed by car while riding bike in Webster

WEBSTER, Mass. — A teenage boy died after he was hit by a car while riding his bike in Webster Sunday afternoon.

Police said the collision happened around 4:07 p.m. on First Street.

Officers arrived to find the teen lying unconscious in the road, with injuries to his head.

First aid, including CPR, was given at the scene. The boy was taken to UMass Healthcare of Harrington, where he later died.

Police said the boy had recently turned 17 years old.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
