Taunton police are searching for suspects who fled a car crash that injured two people

TAUNTON, Mass. — A multi-vehicle car crash in Taunton leaves two people injured and a search for two suspects for a hit-and-run.

Taunton police were dispatched to the vicinity of Whittenton Street and 4th Avenue around 2 p.m. on Saturday to find two cars, a 2018 white Toyota Camry and a 2012 black Kia Forte, crashed.

The two adult female occupants of the Camry, the driver and a passenger, were transported to different local hospitals. The passenger was treated and released while the driver is still hospitalized.

The occupants of the Forte had fled the crash before police arrived on scene.

Multiple members of the Taunton police are investigating the crash, including the Taunton Police Patrol Division, the Taunton Police Crash Reconstruction Unit, the Taunton Police Detective Division, and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit.
