BOSTON — Mobile and online sports betting officially launches in Massachusetts on Friday morning.
A number of sportsbooks are offering incredible promotions to mark the milestone, but Bay Staters need to act fast to take advantage of the deals.
When mobile wagering goes live at 10 a.m., bets can be made via DraftKings, BetMGM, Fanduel, Barstool, WynnBET, and Caesars.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission on Wednesday announced that Betr, a new operator focused on micro betting, would not be launching Friday. In statement, Betr said that they aim to launch “sometime over the next month.”
In order to score promotions that are currently available, Massachusetts residents need to sign up before betting goes live. When the apps launch, the promotions will be credited to the accounts of those who signed up.
These books are offering the following promotions:
- Draftkings -- $200 in bonus bets
- BetMGM -- $200 in bonus bets
- Fanduel - $100 in bonus bets
- Caesars -- $100 in bonus bets
- WynnBet -- $50 sports bonus, $100 bet credit
NESN sports betting analyst Claudia Bellofatto recently told Boston 25 News that residents should download as many betting apps as possible to take advantage of their offers.
“Say it’s a 100-dollar free bonus that’s 100 dollars you can put down on a team - any sort of bet. If it wins you win the money. If it loses, you don’t lose anything,” Bellofatto said.
The launch of mobile betting coincides with March Madness, which begins March 14.
In-person sports betting launched earlier this year at Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville, MGM Springfield, and Encore Boston Harbor in Everett.
