BOSTON — Two men are facing charges for allegedly robbing a convenience store at gunpoint on Monday night.

Michael Dacey, 41, of Wakefield, and Corey Roy, 40, of Charlestown were both charged with armed and masked robbery. Dacey was also charged with providing police with a false name during his arrest.

Officers responding to 134 Bunker Hill Avenue around 6:17 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery were told two masked suspects entered the store, brandished a firearm, and made off with an unknown amount of cash, according to Boston Police.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The suspects reportedly fled the area on Monument Street towards O’Reilly Way.

After reviewing security camera footage from the store, detectives broadcasted the suspects descriptions and sent a picture of them to officers in the area.

Investigators determined the two suspects were last seen running from the Bunker Hill Development towards 85 Medford Street.

While officers patrolled the area, one of the suspects was seen leaving an apartment, where he was apprehended. Police say they then knocked and announced their presence on the apartment door, where they arrested the second suspect as he answered.

Police secured the apartment pending a search warrant.

Both Dacey and Roy are expected to be arraigned in Charlestown District Court.
