BOSTON — Two teens were arrested early Thursday morning, accused of breaking into a beloved Seaport attraction.
A 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male were both charged with trespassing, breaking and entering a building at night for felony, receiving stolen property, and larceny from a building.
Boston Police say they received a report of a break-in at the Snowport Holiday Market on Wednesday night where a large amount of cash was taken.
Around 1:49 a.m. Thursday morning, officers were patrolling the area when they saw two individuals wearing dark clothes walking through the Seaport Common towards Northern Avenue.
Police continued observing the duo when they allegedly fled through a hole in a fence into the Snowport Holiday Market. The two suspects, a 14 and 15-year-old boy, were stopped by private security. Security asked for police assistance and the two suspects were then detained.
Investigators say the two teens were linked to the previous night’s break-in and that they found a “significant amount” of money on them.
Both juvenile suspects were arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court on Thursday.
