Box truck crashes through fence, teeters over ledge at Norfolk gas station

NORFOLK, Mass — A box truck crashed through a fence at a Norfolk gas station Wednesday afternoon, spraying debris in the area.

The box truck crashed through the fence at the Daley Service Center on Rockwood Road at approximately 1:47 p.m. In a photo shared on Facebook, the white truck could be seen tipped over an elevated ledge alongside two other vehicles.

Norfolk police say the truck struck an island before careening into the gas station, hitting a gas pump and colliding with the two vehicles and an aerial lift.

Below the teetering truck, debris from the white fence and chunks of wood, glass, and the airlift were strewn on the ground.

The driver of the truck was transported to a hospital to be treated for his non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is being investigated by Norfolk police.
