FALMOUTH, Mass. — A parking lot attendant working for the Steamship Authority was assaulted by a customer Thursday night while working at a Falmouth Ferry boat parking lot.
The employee was stationed outside of the Palmer Avenue Parking Lot just after 6:00 p.m. to direct customers to park at the Authority’s secondary lot on Thomas B. Landers Road because the Palmer lot was full.
A white SUV then drove past the attendant and attempted to enter the lot. When the attendant approached the vehicle to inform them the lot was full, several occupants of the automobile exited, and one of them allegedly punched the lot attendant in the face. The individuals then re-entered the SUV and left the area.
The vehicle was stopped by the Massachusetts State Police, and one or more arrests were made.
The parking lot attendant was taken to Falmouth Hospital for evaluation following the incident.
