BOSTON — Massachusetts State Police are urging drivers to prepare for traffic delays and detours when President Joe Biden visits Boston on Monday.
In a tweet, state police said, “Motorists in and around Boston may experience traffic detours or delays on Monday due to a special event. There may be bus delays as well...Please plan ahead for potential traffic disruptions.”
Biden is traveling to Boston to deliver remarks on the “Cancer Moonshot” and the goal of ending cancer.
His remarks at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum will come on the 60th anniversary of his predecessor’s speech outlining his vision for putting the first man on the moon.
The president will also make remarks on his administration’s investments in bipartisan infrastructure law.
Traffic in the Boston area has already been congested in recent weeks due to the ongoing Orange Line shutdown.
