SHARON, Mass. — A single-car crash in Sharon is currently under investigation, Massachusetts State Police said.
On Saturday, at around 3:30 p.m. troopers responded to Route 95 northbound by exit 9 in Sharon for reports of a serious crash. At the scene, officials found a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado had struck the guardrail and then continued into the woodline, where it struck a tree.
Christopher Smith, 54, of Waltham, was the driver and sole occupant of the car.
EMS declared Smith dead at the scene.
State Police had closed parts of the road to investigate the crash, but by 6 p.m. all lanes had been reopened.
This crash remains under investigation by the State Police.
