Troopers responding to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 3A near High Ridge Road in Hill just before 1 a.m. found a white 2003 Mitsubishi FE639 off the road and down an embankment at a tree line, according to New Hampshire State Police.

The truck driver, 36-year-old Michael Kaar, of Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.
