QUINCY, Mass. — There is a large emergency response underway on the South Shore after scaffolding at a construction site collapsed on Tuesday morning.
Crews responding to a report of a construction accident at Washington and Edison streets in Quincy found the toppled scaffolding at a building under construction and began searching for workers, according to Friends Of Quincy Firefighters IAFF Local 792.
Fire officials have since confirmed that all workers were accounted for, however, there was no immediate word on injuries.
The area has been blocked off and the public is urged to avoid the neighborhood until further notice.

The collapse came on a day when wind gusts of 35-50 mph were forecasted across the region.
An investigation into the collapse is ongoing.
