In his last campaign event before Friday’s Democratic debate, Senator Bernie Sanders went after not only President Donald Trump, but also Mike Bloomberg and Democratic rival Pete Buttigieg.
“Pete Buttigieg has most exclusive billionaire donors of any democrat, that’s from Forbes, the hill Pete Buttigieg tops billionaire donor list,” Sanders said Friday.
Sanders also attacked Bloomberg’s run, saying he’s “a smart guy but he is spending 100s and 100s of millions of dollars to buy the election.”

Sanders blasted his opponents Friday before a lull in campaigning for Sanders and his opponents. Neil Levesque, executive director of the Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College, says there’s a reason for that.
“We’ve seen 26 major candidates throughout the year actively campaigning here in NH but I think on the day of the debate, maybe a candidate will maybe just do one event, or just really sequester themselves start doing debate prep because the debate tonight is so important,” said Levesque.
