Robert Kraft welcomes Duxbury firefighters to Gillette Stadium following family tragedy

FOXBORO, Mass. — New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft recently welcomed members of the Duxbury Fire Department to Gillette Stadium after a family tragedy rocked the tight-knit South Shore community.

“We both have teams. Mr. Kraft understood our team had been through a challenging time. The compassion and sincerity that Mr. Kraft showed to the Duxbury Fire Department will never be forgotten. He is a leader on and off the field,” Duxbury Fire Chief Robert G. Reardon said in a tweet.

The visit to the home of the Patriots comes after Reardon’s department responded to Lindsay’s Clancy’s Summer Street home in Duxbury on Jan. 24.

Prosecutors say Clancy, 32, strangled her three young children with exercise bands before attempting to take her own life.

Reardon and Deputy Chief Brian J. Monahan have been unspoken about the difficulties their department has been dealing with in the aftermath of the incident.
