Residents stuck in their homes after flooding in Alexandria, NH

ALEXANDRIA, NH — Residents in Alexandria, NH are stuck in their homes after streets flooded during a major weather event.

According to police, several roads are closed including Burns Hill, Plummer Hill, and Bailey Road.

West shore road is also closed south of Fowler River Rd., Bog Rd is also impassable.

Police say the only way in and out of the village is Cass Mill Rd or West Shore Rd. or Washburn Rd.

The intersection of Foster Pond and Matthews Rd is covered in 4′ of gravel and stone.

A shelter has been open at Town Hall and police are telling residents to contact them if they need help getting there.

Crews are working to reopen the roads and clean the area.

Police are asking residents to be patient.
