NATICK, Mass. — The public is being warned of increased police activity in a neighborhood in Natick on Monday amid an ongoing FBI investigation.
The Natick Police Department told Boston 25 News that officers are assisting the United States Attorney’s Office with “vehicle and pedestrian management” amid an “ongoing investigation focused on public safety” in the area of Woodland Street between Juniper and Clover lanes.
An FBI Boston spokesperson said that federal investigators were “conducting court-authorized activity.”
Police noted that there is no immediate threat to the community at this time.
Residents have been asked to avoid the area and refrain from sharing unverified information on social media.
“We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time,” the department said in a statement. “Updates will be shared as soon as they become available. Please avoid calling the department for additional information.”
Details on the nature of the investigation weren’t clear.
