BOSTON — Will the indoor mask mandate that’s been in place for six months soon disappear? At 4:30 Tuesday, the city’s Public Health Commission will meet virtually to discuss the fate of the mandate.
Late last week, Michelle Wu mentioned that the BPHC would meet very soon to discuss the future of the mandate.

“I know the toll that it’s taken on our systems across the city and our families and workforce to feel like we are constantly lurching from surge to surge and when is this happening, when is that happening,” Wu said on Wednesday.
The seven-day average of covid cases has fallen from 482 February 1st to 119 on the 26th and reported daily cases dropped from 592 to 33 over the same time period, according to the city’s data. The city also reported that the seven-day average of hospitalizations fell to 160 on February 24th from 503 on February 1st.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
