SHERBORN, Mass. — A mechanical failure with a train has led to the closure of Prospect Street in Sherborn, police say.

“Please be advised that Prospect St is not passible at the Coolidge St intersection due to a mechanical failure with the train,” police said in a tweet shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Police said Prospect Street “will remain open to residents but closed to through traffic. We will provide an update once available.”
