Police: Rideshare driver follows GPS onto MBTA Green Line tracks, causes delays

BROOKLINE, Mass. — Parts of the Green Line experienced delays on Tuesday night after a wayward rideshare driver got stuck on the tracks while following his GPS, according to authorities.

Transit Police say the incident happened around 11:45 p.m. in the area of Dean Road in Brookline.

The driver of a 2017 Hyundai claimed he followed his GPS onto the tracks.

The customer in his vehicle claimed to be experiencing neck and back pain and was transported to an area hospital, according to investigators.

Service was delayed for about 30 minutes while the track was inspected.
