One killed and two in critical condition after serious motor vehicle crash in Milton

MILTON, Mass. — One person was killed and two others seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Milton.

Milton Police responded to a serious crash involving a truck and another car in the area of Blue Hill Ave and Hills View Rd around 6:00 p.m.

When first responders arrived at the scene two parties were located inside the Chevrolet Silverado where the operator, Michael McGrath, 56 of Milton, succumbed to his injuries sustained in the crash. The juvenile located inside that vehicle was transported to an area hospital where he is recovering from major surgery undergone Tuesday night following the accident, according to police.

Police said the other vehicle was an Infiniti Q50 operated by Manuel Afonseca, 40 of Boston. Afonseca was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition, according to police.

The Norfolk District Attorney and the Milton Police Department are investigating. No further information was immediately available.
