Police respond to Boston Common AMC for large fight, moviegoers evacuated

BOSTON — Boston Police responded to the AMC Theater on the Boston Common late Sunday night due to a large fight.

Officers responded to the theater at 9:54 p.m., a Boston Police spokesperson told Boston 25 News.

Moviegoers told Boston 25 News they were advised to evacuate the theater.

Boston Police were still on the scene as of 11 p.m. alongside a large crowd of people milling around the theater.

Earlier in the day the AMC Theater in South Bay was evacuated after a large fight broke out among a large group of juveniles.

Boston Police officers could be seen blocking off District Avenue in Dorchester where multiple businesses closed early for the night.

According to BPD, there have been more than 40 juvenile-related incidents at South Bay since July.

Sunday was National Cinema Day, where moviegoers could purchase tickets around the country for just $4.
