Police locate missing 73-year-old man with dementia

BOSTON — UPDATE: Boston Police announced Wednesday morning an alert nurse at Brigham & Women’s Hospital helped locate Neil Sally.


Police in Boston are searching for a 73-year-old man who was last seen leaving for the West Roxbury VA earlier Monday morning. That man, identified as Neil Sally, may be disoriented as he suffers from dementia, according to police.

Sally was supposed to be brought back to the Parkway Health & Rehabilitation Center in West Roxbury after his appointment at the VA, which was set to end at 11 a.m. He was last seen leaving the rehab center at 10:45 a.m.

He was last seen wearing a black shirt with black pants and gray and black sneakers with white soles. Police say he may have boarded the #36 MBTA bus.

Anyone with information on Sally’s whereabouts is asked to call police in West Roxbury at (617) 343-4566.
