LANCASTER, Mass. — Massachusetts state police responded to a crash on Interstate 190 northbound in Lancaster Monday morning around 10:30.
According to officials, when the first troopers arrived on the scene, they discovered two vehicles were involved in the crash.
State police said the operator of the first vehicle, a 63-year-old woman from Pasadena California, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sky25 got images from the scene which showed one vehicle with severe rear-end damage to it, with a red tarp draped across the top of the vehicle.
Police said the occupants of the second vehicle were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Route 190 northbound was closed for over an hour during the investigation and cleanup of the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
