Police: Bomb threat against Satanic Temple in Salem was ‘malicious hoax’

SALEM, Mass. — A bomb threat that was made against the Satanic Temple in Salem on Tuesday morning was deemed a “malicious hoax.”

Officers responding to a report of a threat against the temple at 64 Bridge Street around 10 a.m. closed the road to traffic, according to the Salem Police Department.

The public was urged to avoid the area while police investigated the credibility of the threat.

The area was reopened to traffic shortly after 11 a.m.
