BROCKTON, Mass. — Several people were displaced after a house in Brockton caught fire early Friday morning.
Chief Brian Nardelli says a blaze broke out on the second floor rear porch of a home on North Main Street around 1:40 a.m. The fire stretched up to the third floor of the residence, but the heavy flames were extinguished in about 20 minutes, according to officials.
Everyone in the house evacuated prior to the fire department’s arrival.
No injuries were reported.
7 adults and 2 children were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross, fire officials say.
Chief Nardelli says companies were on scene checking for hot spots for over an hour.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
