PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A second suspect who allegedly robbed a man with autism at a Plymouth Walmart in 2023 was arraigned on Wednesday after being extradited from Tennessee.

Antonio Taylor, 21, of Memphis, Tennessee, is charged with larceny from a person and larceny under $250 from a person over the age of 60/disabled.

According to Plymouth Police, on August 23, 2023, three men surrounded a Walmart employee with autism as he was waiting for a ride in the area of 300 Colony Place. The men were aggressive panhandlers, according to police, and convinced the victim to empty his wallet and give them $150.

Taylor was identified as one of the men, as well as 22-year-old Julius Houston, also of Memphis, who faced similar charges in January 2024.

“The Plymouth Police Department takes crimes committed against our citizens seriously and our department works tirelessly to bring those who commit these crimes to justice,” a police spokesperson said. “The Plymouth Police Department would like to thank Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz and the entire Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office for their commitment to bring justice to the citizens of Plymouth.”
