PHOTOS: See the winners of the 2022 Hampton Beach Sand Sculpting Classic

HAMPTON BEACH, N.H. — The Hampton Beach Sand Sculpting Classic named its 2022 winners on Saturday.

The solo competition took place from June 16-18, with participants vying for thousands of dollars in prizes.

Hawaii-based sculptor Mélineige Beauregard took home first place and the People’s Choice award for her sculpture, “I am Life,” winning a collective $7,000 in prizes. Karen Fralich, of Ontario, Canada, was the second-place winner for her sculpture, “Trolls.”

Third place went to Carl Jara for “Entropy,” and Rusty Croft earned fourth place and the Sculptors’ Choice award for “Transition.”

Greg Grady captured the Governor’s Award for his piece, “Wyvern Whisperer.”

The sculptures will be on display and illuminated for nightly viewing through June 26. See the rest of the winners below:
