Patriots parting ways with Head Coach Jerod Mayo, team announces

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Shortly after their 23-16 victory against the Buffalo Bills, the Patriots announced they are parting ways with Head Coach Jerod Mayo.

In his first season as head coach, Mayo finished 4-13. With their recent win, the Patriots lost out on the 1st overall pick in this year’s upcoming NFL draft.

In a statement released by Patriots owner Robert Kraft, he says that this was “one of the hardest decisions I have ever made.”

During his last press conference, Mayo was asked if he expects to come back as head coach next year, he said “to me its all about todays game and we’ll talk about that tomorrow”

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
