SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has bought a tony Hamptons property in an off-market deal for $43 million, according to two people familiar with the deal. The transaction is one of the largest to close in the wealthy beach destination so far this year.

The property is on Meadow Lane in Southampton, N.Y., among some of the most expensive properties on Long Island. Other Meadow Lane owners include Henry Kravis, the billionaire co-founder of private equity giant KKR, hedge-fund manager Ken Griffin and financier Leon Black, records show.

Mr. Kraft’s new home was never publicly listed for sale so details are scant. The roughly 7,000-square-foot home was built in 2017 and replaced a historic cottage known as “A Wee Lyr Mor,” property records show. The main house is modern, with a pitched roof and large square windows arranged in a grid-like pattern, according to Google Maps. There is also a large oceanfront pool.

The seller—a limited-liability company tied to Nir Meir, a former partner at Manhattan real-estate development company HFZ Capital Group—bought the site for $10.5 million in 2013, records show.

The property adds to Mr. Kraft’s portfolio of ultra-high-end homes. He also has properties in the Boston area and Palm Beach, Fla., records show. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index pegs his net worth at around $6 billion.

Spokespersons for both Mr. Meir and Mr. Kraft didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
