Patriots make series of roster moves before season finale

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The Patriots have announced the elevations of WR Alex Erickson and TE Mitchell Wilcox, alongside the signings of CB Miles Battle, DE Truman Jones, LB Monty Rice, and TE Jack Westover ahead of their season finale on Sunday.

Battle, 24, was a rookie free agent from Utah before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs before signing with the Patriots practice squad on October 15. In one season with Utah, Battle played 13 games, 2 starts, with 32 tackles and 1 interception.

Jones, 24, was also a rookie free agent, coming from Harvard. He signed with the Chiefs on May 6, 2023, where he spent the entirety of the 2023 season and part of the 2024 season on their practice squad. He signed with the Patriots practice squad on November 26. In 30 games with Harvard, Jones totaled 88 tackles with 28.5 sacks.

C Ben Brown, S Jabrill Peppers, and WR Ja’Lynn Polk have also been placed on injured reserve.

The Patriots host the Buffalo Bills for the regular season finale.
