Two pleaded ‘not guilty’ in connection to deadly overnight shooting on the North Shore

LYNN, Mass. — One man is dead and two others have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on the North Shore late Thursday night.

36-year-old Brian Rivera and 35-year-old Michael Constabile were both arraigned Lynn District Court on Friday morning.

Rivera pleaded not guilty to murder, carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a weapon within 500 feet of a building, possessing ammunition without a firearm identification card, possessing a Class B drug, possessing a Class C drug, possessing a Class E drug, and a firearm violation with three prior violent/drug crimes. Rivera was ordered held without bail.

Constabile pleaded not guilty being an accessory after the fact as well as a municipal knife ordinance violation. Constabile was held on $100,000 cash bail.

Police responded to High Street in Lynn around 11:23 p.m. to find a 35-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds, the Essex County District Attorney’s office said.

The victim was rushed to Salem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Rivera and Constabile were arrested in connection with the deadly shooting, the Essex County District Attorney’s office said.

At least two evidence markers could be seen on the ground behind yellow crime scene tape when Boston 25 News arrived at the scene.

Officers remained at the scene for a few hours.

The victim’s name has not been released pending fanily notification.
