BOSTON — Two people are facing charges after a man was shot to death in Boston late Monday night, authorities announced Tuesday morning.
Darius Powell, 25, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and Daiquan Miller, 25, of Dorchester, are slated to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, according to the Boston Police Department.
Officers responding to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 114 Decon Street just before 10:30 p.m. found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Responding officers spotted two people fleeing an alley in the rear of 270 Columbia Road and gave chase on foot, ultimately apprehending Powell and Miller, according to police.
Police noted that officers were able to recover two firearms during a search of the area.
