FRANKLIN, Mass. — An off-duty Franklin Police officer is the focus of an investigation after allegedly crashing into a garage on Jordan Road in the town late Tuesday night, police announced. That crash happened just before 10:45 p.m. Tuesday when a Ford F450 crashed into the garage of a local resident, damaging the garage and a car inside it.
That officer was transported to a nearby hospital, where he-or-she was subsequently treated and released. Police said that charges are anticipated against that officer, who was placed on paid administrative leave by the Town Administrator.

We went by the officer’s home but were asked to leave. People who knew him told us he’s been an officer for years.
The officer’s home is two doors down from the damaged home. The woman who lived in the damaged home said she was in her living room watching TV and heard a loud bang when the officer drove through her garage door.
She says the only thing that stopped the officer’s truck from coming into her living room was her car. With the side mirror hanging off and the doors dented in, she is now unable to drive her car anywhere. And even her home needs repair with pieces of it still in the driveway and the garage door now boarded up.
She said she just hopes he’s okay.
