$900 million Powerball jackpot drawing tonight

DEDHAM, Mass. — Powerball fever is sweeping the country, with many people picking their lucky spot for the $900 million prize.

Boston 25 Reporter John Monahan went to Pam’s Market in Dedham, a place that’s already sold a million-dollar winner a few years back.

But this is the big bucks we’re talking about, not some paltry $1 million.

With so much at stake, everyone has their own strategy.

“Just play one ticket,” Joe Tierney said. “Just one, that’s all you need.”

And what will the good folks of the Commonwealth do if they win?

“We talked about it at work,” Karen Willox said. “I’d give a little bit of a notice and then find something fun to do.”

Others said they’d invest in property.

“I’m gonna buy a mansion,” Jariel said. “Take care of my family. Know what I’m saying. Buy some property you know.”

Others have dreams of traveling, but to do any of that they all say, you got to take the first step and play.
