WARNER, N.H. — New Hampshire State Troopers were dispatched to the area of Exit 9 on I-89 Southbound on Saturday night, February 1, to reports of a tractor-trailer crash.

Upon arrival, troopers found a 2022 white Freightliner Cascadia that went off the road after striking a guardrail and multiple trees.

Warner Fire and Rescue was called in to assist the driver, 55-year-old Joseph Johnston of Otisfield, Maine.

Johnston had suffered minor injuries and was transported to Concord Hospital for further evaluation.

The left travel land of I-89 South was closed for about 5 hours while crews conducted cleanup and investigation.

Initial findings suggest that the crash was a result of a medical emergency by the driver.
