New England Patriots begin training camp Wednesday. Here’s everything fans need to know

FOXBORO, Mass. — Go time for the New England Patriots is here.

Players and coaches arrived at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday and the first training session is slated to take place Wednesday morning on the practice fields behind the stadium.

Practices will be open to the public on Wednesday (July 27), Thursday (July 28), Friday (July 29), and Saturday (July 30), and each session will begin at 9:30 a.m. Gates will open for fans at 8 a.m. Camp dates and times will be updated on Patriots.com.

The public access portion of training camp will conclude after the Patriots host the Carolina Panthers for joint practices on Aug. 16 and Aug. 17. The two sides will then meet in a preseason game inside Gillette Stadium on Aug. 19.

The Patriots will also travel for joint practices with the Las Vegas Raiders prior to their final preseason game on Aug. 26.

Fans planning to attend practice are encouraged to check www.patriots.com/trainingcamp for last-minute updates or call the training camp hotline at 508-549-0001.

Bleachers on the west sideline of the practice fields will provide seating for thousands of fans with overflow seating on a hillside in the north end of the field. All fans entering the Patriots training camp facility with a view of the practice fields will be screened by security personnel. Below is a list of prohibited items:

  • Animals, except service animals assisting those with disabilities
  • Any alcoholic beverages
  • Beach balls
  • Bullhorns and air horns
  • Coolers
  • Drones
  • Fireworks or pyrotechnics
  • Sticks/Poles
  • GoPro Cameras/Video Cameras (no video recordings)
  • Balloons
  • Illegal drugs or any other illegal substance
  • Laser pens
  • Noise makers
  • Remotely Controlled Aircraft
  • Selfie sticks
  • Weapons of any kind (including knives)
  • Any other item deemed inappropriate by stadium management

The stadium’s parking lot will be open to fans and free of charge, but tailgating is not permitted ahead of practice sessions. The Patriots ProShop will also be open daily on all days that the public has access to practice.
