BOSTON — A new cocktail bar has opened in Boston, and the way to get inside is through the freezer door of a brand new Taqueria.
Borrachito is a bar and taqueria combo based in New York City and was first opened during the pandemic.
Now, this fan favorite is coming to Boston. According to a release sent by The Garret Group, The taqueria is led by Chef Yuval Ochoa, who was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico.
“Borrachito takes a playful and creative outlook on the average taco seeking to combine Ochoa’s authentic Mexican cooking principles with chef-driven, unexpected twists.”
The restaurant gives Bostonians the opportunity to experience a playful take on a Mexico City-style Taqueria and a unique speakeasy inside the cocktail bar.
The taqueria will be open daily from 11 a.m. to late night serving Boston Seaport and surrounding areas via in-person dining, a take-out window, and delivery.
After getting some tacos, head through the freezer door and enter The Bar Room featuring a world-class bar program, led by Director of Food & Beverage, Max Stampa-Brown. The bar will be open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with the addition of brunch service on the weekends beginning at 11 a.m.
“We’re really proud of Borrachito Taqueria & Spirits. It’s not just a dining or bar concept, we’ve created a place where people in Boston can celebrate their best moments. Every design element has a purpose, and every decision we’ve made has had this specific market in mind. We’re really looking forward to being a part of such a great city,” says Adam Fulton, Co-Founder & Creative Director at The Garret Group.
Borrachitois located in the Seaport at 70 Pier 4 Boulevard, Suite 270, Boston, MA, 02210. For more about the restaurant, visit the link here.
