Teen in critical condition, 5 people rescued after overnight house fire in Brockton

BROCKTON — Multiple people were rescued and taken to the hospital in an overnight house fire in Brockton.

According to firefighters, the fire happened just before 1 a.m., inside a triple-decker on Central Square in Brockton.

The flames ripped through the second and third floors of the multi-family home and multiple ladder rescues were made, according to firefighters.

A total of 5 people were rescued and 7 were taken to Good Samaritan hospital.

Firefighters tell Boston 25 that 1 teenager is in critical condition.

No firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
