MSP investigating deadly hit-and-run on I-93

BRAINTREE, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police are investigating an early morning hit-and-run that left one man dead.

It happened Tuesday morning on I-93 southbound, just past the Braintree split. State police say a 42-year-old Boston man entered the southbound lanes south of exit 6 and was struck.

Police say the vehicle or vehicles that hit the pedestrian did not stop.

It’s unclear why the man was walking on the highway. His name has not been released.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police.
